You are washing it wrong!

Often, housewives, loading laundry into the washing machine, do not think whether they are doing the right thing.Out of inexperience, in a hurry, for some other reason, they lay white pillowcases along with colored blouses, linen tablecloths with silk dresses, and other blunders. Then they wonder why there were stains on the clothes, an extraneous smell, which was not present before washing, where did one sock go, where did the hole in the shirt come from. There is only one reason for all these excesses - the wrong approach to washing.

10 common mistakes

To avoid such problems, check out the main omissions during the washing. Think about whether you are taking such wrong steps.

Wipe complex stains

Often on the clothes there are dirt that must be removed before washing.You begin to rub them hard, pre-sprinkled with powder. This can not be done, as in the end the structure of the fabric is broken, a shine appears at the place of stripping. The material wears out quickly, holes form. To avoid this, a little stain remover should be dripped onto the stain, wait a few minutes, then rinse in warm water. You can wipe the spot with a soft white cloth. Only then put the thing in the washing machine.

Bloodied linen should be soaked only in cold water. A warm solution promotes deeper penetration of blood into the tissue, where it coagulates and it will be impossible to completely clear the material.

When washing things in the machine, you can add a little more cleaning solution. Do not forget to rinse the linen well.

Do not check the creases before washing

The washing machine requires extra care.Each time before starting work, it must be checked. Heat, moisture contribute to the development of microorganisms, fungus. Mold appears in the following places:

  • in the dispenser tray;
  • under rubber seals;
  • in hoses;
  • in filters.

After each washing, the unit must be inspected, all accessible places should be cleaned, washed with soda solution, then rinsed thoroughly with clean water. Leave the machine open until completely dry. Before downloading, view all available locations again. If necessary, wipe with a solution of citric acid, "Whiteness", other chlorine-containing compounds. This will save you from the appearance of foreign odor on things, dark spots.

If black, oil stains appear on the laundry, then there are problems with the stuffing box, bearings treated with special grease. In such cases, you must call the wizard to replace parts.

All other problems can be dealt with on your own.

Laundry less dirty and stubborn stains at the same time

Your next mistake. Before loading things into the washing machine, they must be disassembled according to the degree of contamination. It will take less washing solution and time to stretch cleaner laundry than for too dirty. For heavily soiled clothes with stubborn stains after cleaning hands, start the special pre-wash mode, which provides double washing. Wash things less dirty during normal operation, this will protect them from quick wear.

Do not zip up

Snakes must be buttoned.When scrolling, the thinner fabric, lining, etc. will cling to the unfastened teeth. As a result, the material is destroyed, holes appear. In addition, the cloves break, which makes the clasp unusable.

Button up

All buttons and buttons must be unfastened.Otherwise, they may fall into the drum and come off, which will damage the blouse, shirt, etc.

Wrong to put socks in the drum

Often after washing, you miss one sock or take it out with new holes. There can be two reasons for this:

  • one toe spun with larger clothes, you just did not notice it;
  • it was jammed with a drum.

To prevent this from happening, you need to put the socks in a small bag of delicate matter. This will save them from damage and loss.

Incorrect procedure

Habits are a thing of the past, first pour water into the machine, add powder, then lay the laundry.Modern detergents do not settle on fabrics, do not contain phosphates, and do not harm clothes. But do not add them before you fill the water.

First, load the laundry, add water, then add the washing solution.

In this order of loading, the detergent will evenly dissolve in water, thereby giving a better result when washing products.

Add a lot of powder

Excessive foam traps dirt. Especially often it accumulates in cuffs, collars and other inaccessible places. It is difficult to rinse it out. Therefore, it is better to immediately put half the normal detergent. If your clothes do not wash well, then add a little more detergent.

An exception is washing in water with increased hardness. To soften it, you can put the powder a little more than the usual rate.

A lot of bleach

The chemical composition of bleaching agents aggressively affects tissue, corroding its fibers.This leads to rapid wear of the material, products lose their color. To prevent this from happening, it is better to use a grandmother's remedy: boil the linen with the addition of a small amount of lemon juice.

Washing things that cannot be washed

Typically, such clothing is marked "Dry Cleaning". But this does not mean that they really cannot be stretched. In most cases, such a label is placed on linen made of delicate fabrics that can stretch out or “sit down”: silk, wool, some jerseys. Such products must immediately be checked for color stability: with a soft swab, apply detergent to the hidden seam and see if the color changes; then gently wash with your hands. Dry it by wrapping it in a towel and squeezing it well.

In no case can delicate things be twisted - this can lead to their deformation.

Leather, fur, suede products, blouses, dresses with sequins and beads are best attributed to dry cleaning.

Everyone can be mistaken. You just need to pay attention to your mistakes and not repeat them again. Then your things will look like new. Their appearance will remain presentable and will give you the opportunity to shine more than once in an elegant society.
