How to refill an inkjet printer

Typically, the printer cartridge is refilled at a service center. But you can do this at home, saving time and budget. But for the correct refueling, you need to purchase high-quality paint and properly refuel the part.

What you need to refuel an inkjet printer

First of all, you need to buy high-quality ink. If you choose low-quality paint, the pictures will have poor quality. It is best to order ink online from Chinese sites (you can find high-quality ink at competitive prices there). Another disadvantage of bad paint is that it can dry out. Then the printer will not print individual sections of the picture. I have to purge the cassette, and this is a big expense.

After buying ink, we need a syringe. We fill it with paint and pour the mixture into the upper end of the cartridge, into the hole under the sticker. The sticker should not be removed because it allows air exchange. If you remove it, paint will constantly flow through the nozzle.

Attention! If you are afraid of getting dirty, you can wear gloves. And if ink gets on the cartridge or printer, it can be removed with a cotton pad soaked in alcohol.

Before refueling yourself, you should understand what a cartridge is. The part consists of the following parts:

1. Capacity where paint is stored.
2. Chip. She is responsible for the color quantity counter and controls the nozzles of the print head.
3. Printhead.

Typically, a sticker is made on the cassette body that indicates the color of the necessary ink (often the ink color sticker itself is made). In some models, the cases are made of transparent material. And on the top cover make special holes through which the cartridge can be filled.

Reference! There are also openings necessary to reduce pressure on the paint container and to create ventilation.

The number of tanks inside the printer depends on the type of printer. For black supplies, the capacity is one, and for color 3. In the latter case, the following colors are contained in the tank:

1. Yellow.
2. Blue.
3. Purple.

This is considered a budget color printer model. But there are more expensive designs made specifically for printing photos. Typically, such printers have up to 8 tanks.

There is also an absorbent sponge inside the cartridge containers. It allows you to evenly distribute color, and hold it. But for some inkjet printer models, air bags are used instead of sponges.

There is a special cartridge refill kit. Its kit includes:

1. Syringe with ink (for several refills).
2. Special napkin.
3. Refueling equipment.
4. Special latch holder with valve. It is needed to pump ink.
5. Refueling instructions.

Refill an inkjet printer: step by step

Cartridge refills as follows:

1. First you need to determine what kind of ink is needed. For the device to work properly, the ink must be compatible with the printer.
2. We clean the print head from dirt.
3. Take a syringe and fill it with color. Watch the air content in the syringe, it should not be there.
4. We cover the workplace with newspapers that protect it from ink (they are difficult to remove).
5. We are looking for a hole on the cartridge. We are looking carefully, the hole is small and is designed specifically for the use of a syringe needle. Usually the hole is under the sticker. We delete the last, but do not throw it away.
6. We start to fill ink. We do it slowly.
7. We return the sticker in place (this will not allow the paint to leak).
8. You can test your work by printing a test page.

Reference! But if there is no necessary hole, you can make it yourself. For this we use a thin drill. We make a scarlet hole, and fill the paint in the manner described above.

If we have a color printer, each container must be filled separately with the necessary color. Separate syringes should be used for each reservoir.

The process of refilling the cartridge does not depend on the manufacturer of the printer, the algorithm is the same. You can fill the cassette yourself.
