Why wireless headphones are not charging

Charging your wireless headphones is no different than charging any phone. Ways to recharge the bluetooth headphones is only in the features of the connector and a specific design model. According to statistics, 98% of all headphones have a micro-USB connector. And all that is needed to recharge is only to have a cable that is standard.

Wireless headphones not charging

Manufacturers of wireless devices recommend using the factory cable for charging without replacing the cable with another device.

The basic principle is charging and the headset is adapted. If you buy equipment from another device, you can break the connector. As a result of this, the headset will not charge at all. The voltage of different charges is different.

Reference! So you can either reduce the charging speed, or increase. These methods negatively affect the operation of the headset. After a regular incorrect procedure, you can notice how the discharge rate of the device increases significantly. This reduces the headphone runtime.

Possible reasons

The main reasons why the headphones do not charge, and possible malfunctions:

  • the device is disconnected;
  • the battery is dead;
  • Bluetooth off
  • for the headset, the primary connection with the sound source was not performed;
  • the headset is very far from the sound source
  • different version of bluetooth headset and sound transmission device;
  • The headset is out of order.

How to troubleshoot

If the sound device does not see the headphones, you need to check if they are charged. The wireless headset is powered by an installed battery, certain models work without charging for up to 50 hours, some only 4-5 hours.

Disconnect the headphones, as a rule, during power-on, the indicator on the device body lights up. Recharge the device. We must not forget that certain models require only 1 hour to fully recharge, some need to be recharged for more than 5 hours.

If the headset is connected to the charger and the indicator lights up, then everything works in normal mode, you just have to wait until the battery is fully charged.

If after connecting the headset to charging the indicator does not turn on for 2-3 minutes, the device is probably broken.

Make sure that the outlet where the charging is connected is working. If the headphones are connected to the laptop with a USB cable, you need to make sure that the USB port is working in normal mode. Not all ports transmit the required voltage. Most often, USB ports that can charge external equipment are marked with a lightning bolt. If there is no signal while connecting to one of the ports, connect the wire to another port or to another laptop.

How to charge wireless headphones

The general principle of recharging is approximately the same for any type of wireless device. But all models may have certain nuances.

The general instruction is as follows:

  1. Take the micro-USB cable for recharging (located as standard).
  2. Connect one end of the wire to the headset (the port connector may be different).
  3. The second end of the wire to the laptop port.
  4. It is not recommended that the device be fully discharged.

Attention! Do not remove the headset from charging or use it until it is fully charged. This negatively affects the battery.

Note:

  1. The temperature in the room should be 5-30 degrees.
  2. When recharging, the headphones must not be turned on, and you cannot use the Bluetooth mode.
  3. If the device has not been used for a long time, then at first the battery can quickly drain, but after 2-3 recharges the operating time will increase.
  4. If the device has not been used for a long time, the indicator may not light up when the USB cable is connected. In this case, do not disconnect the cable: wait a while until the red light on the indicator lights up.
  5. If the headset has not been used for a very long time, it takes longer to fully charge the battery.
  6. If the headphones are simply stored for a long time, the battery must be fully charged at least once every six months. if this is done, then the life of the device will last.
  7. Do not expose the earphones to significant temperature fluctuations, high humidity or mechanical damage. Do not leave the headphones in a car in the sun.
  8. If the battery time is greatly reduced, it must be changed. To do this, contact the nearest service center.
  9. If the laptop goes into sleep mode when connected to the headphones, the procedure will not be completely completed.

Instead of a laptop, universal charging or an adapter for recharging in the car is also used. But only if it is indicated in the operating instructions for a particular model of headphones. This is much more convenient than recharging from a laptop, but it will not affect the charging speed at all, which should also be remembered.
